Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with payment gateway providers and external partners to build and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Drive integration of multiple payment gateways into Mondia systems, ensuring compatibility, security, and performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with Account Management, Finance, TAM and Engineering to deliver seamless merchant experiences.
  • Work with external partners to evaluate and implement new payment methods, technologies and features.
  • Provide technical consulting and project management to ensure high-quality merchant integration delivery.
  • Advise on checkout experience, authentication, platform onboarding and optimization alongside Developers and TAM.
  • Act as a key knowledge holder for the Mondia platform, APIs and integration best practices.
  • Specify detailed requirements for the core platform and define payment standards and API implementations.
  • Draft and clarify user stories to ensure clear understanding by cross-functional teams.
  • Prioritise product requirements and support product development execution with Product Design, Technology and Data Science.
  • Participate actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure product quality and specification adherence.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of alternative payment methods and mobile carrier billing.
  • Proven ability to learn technologies quickly and understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDKs).
  • Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs; able to send requests and inspect responses.
  • Strong understanding of API authentication methods (Basic Auth, OAuth 2.0, JWT).
  • Comfortable writing small Java snippets during scoping and using online resources for support.
  • Able to translate technical concepts into clear business benefits.
  • Experience with Figma or similar tools for mockups when required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum ~5 years' experience managing complex integration projects and product delivery.
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Hybrid role).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in payments platform product management or mobile carrier billing products.
  • Familiarity with merchant onboarding, PCI compliance and payment security best practices.
  • Exposure to data analytics/metrics for payments and A/B testing.
  • Certification in product management, agile, or PM methodologies (e.g., CSPO, PMP, Scrum).
  • Strong stakeholder management across commercial and technical teams.
