Senior Trading Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead the team in the future
• Monitor and manage the real-time operation of high-frequency trading systems.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate system issues as needed to maintain high availability.
• Analyze system performance metrics (e.g., latency) using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, traders, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Automate processes and manage deployments with A/B testing to enhance operational workflows.
• Manage configurations using tools like Ansible and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to system documentation and provide feedback on process improvements.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to handle critical incidents outside regular hours.
• Show initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of IT or software engineering experience.
• Experience in high-frequency trading or other latency-sensitive distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Python scripting for automation and tooling.
• Proficiency with Linux systems, including shell scripting and networking tools.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, ElasticSearch, or ClickHouse.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and CI/CD systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with incident management frameworks and best practices.
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of distributed databases (e.g., ClickHouse).
