Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of technical reports including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Delivery and Servicing Plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive transportation analysis using industry-standard software to evaluate project feasibility and impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, architects, and clients throughout the development lifecycle to ensure project alignment.
  • Mentor and supervise junior planning staff, providing guidance on technical standards and professional development.
  • Develop and present transportation strategies and feasibility studies to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Support the preparation of fee proposals and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Engage in strategic negotiations with local authorities and regulatory bodies regarding regional planning frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Proven professional experience in development-related transport planning and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with transportation software packages, data analysis tools, and MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively and mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering.
  • Professional membership with a recognized institution such as CIHT, SoRSA, CILT, IHE, TPS, or ICE.
  • Experience with GIS software, spatial analysis tools, or large-scale strategic infrastructure projects.
