Senior Underground Mine Engineer

The company aims to achieve a step-change improvement in exploration success to discover tier 1 resources faster and more efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine design efforts for the Mingomba project, including pre-feasibility and feasibility studies
• Perform strategic mine design and engineering analyses, including sequencing and scheduling using Deswik
• Conduct detailed design of the Mingomba underground mine and engineering trade-off studies
• Perform cost estimation and economic analysis of alternatives
• Prepare technical documents and public disclosure documents for Mineral Resources and Reserves
• Support surface and underground facilities engineering
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior-level staff
• Identify and develop value engineering opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in underground mine planning, design, and scheduling
• Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik, MineScape, MineSight 3D, Vulcan, Surpac, or Datamine
• Strong technical writing skills for complex reports
• Experience working with multiple mining industry consultants
• Ability to travel to Mingomba and other project locations
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety standards
