Senior UX Researcher

Responsibilities

• Run UX research across Tether's consumer and developer products, including Keet, QVAC Workbench, and Tether Wallet
• Identify UX best practices and emerging patterns across various product categories
• Research competitors and adjacent products to identify market gaps and solution opportunities
• Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product designers and product managers
• Partner with product teams across all four pillars (Finance, Power, Data, and Education) to inform the product lifecycle
• Build and maintain a research repository to ensure insights are reusable and compound over time
• Tailor research methods—qualitative, quantitative, lightweight, or deep—to meet specific project needs

Requirements

• 5+ years of UX research experience across consumer and/or developer products
• End-to-end research expertise: defining questions, selecting methods, executing, synthesizing, and communicating outcomes
• Strong command of qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry) and familiarity with quantitative methods
• Mandatory AI fluency: ability to use AI tools to accelerate research planning, synthesis, and reporting
• Working knowledge of at least one area: crypto wallets/self-custody, messaging/P2P, AI applications, or developer tooling
• Experience with products involving high trust, privacy, security, or technical complexity
• Sharp written and verbal communication skills to convert ambiguous findings into decision-ready recommendations
• Strong product judgment and the ability to separate signal from noise

Preferred Qualifications

• Background researching developer audiences and developer experience (DX)
• Experience setting up or scaling UX research practices from scratch
• Background in fintech, crypto, AI, P2P, or open-source ecosystems
• Familiarity with privacy-preserving research methods
• Ability to create low-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate improved user flows and functionality
