Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own seasonal visual merchandising strategies and store concepts that align with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
  • Translate marketing and product launches into in-store activations, window displays, and floor plans; ensure timely roll-out across stores.
  • Lead, mentor, and schedule the Visual Commercial team; set clear creative standards and provide hands-on coaching during installations.
  • Use sales data and KPI analysis to optimize product placement, adjacencies, and promotional displays to maximize conversion and average transaction value.
  • Maintain consistent visual standards across all stores; conduct regular store audits and provide corrective action plans.
  • Work closely with Buying, Marketing, Store Operations, and E-commerce teams to align visual plans with assortment, promotions, and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Plan and manage visual projects end-to-end—budgets, timelines, materials, and third-party vendors—ensuring on-time, on-brand delivery.
  • Research retail and design trends; propose new visual techniques, fixtures, and technologies to enhance the customer experience.
  • Create visual guidelines, installation manuals, and training materials; run workshops to upskill store teams on visual standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years in visual merchandising or retail design, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role; multi-store operations preferred.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative concepts, store roll-outs, and measurable commercial impact.
  • Proven ability to link visual strategy to sales performance; comfortable interpreting sales reports and KPIs.
  • Excellent creative direction, spatial planning, and fixture design skills; strong project management and vendor coordination experience.
  • Proficiency with visual planning tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp); basic MS Office competency.
  • Strong coaching and communication skills; ability to inspire teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to lead and participate in physical installations; comfortable with heights and manual handling.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Flexible to travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and work retail hours during roll-outs and peak seasons.
  • Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Design, or related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with retail design software and 3D modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with UAE retail market trends and consumer behavior.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of team development.
