Senior Web Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and build enterprise-level WordPress solutions, developing high-performance plugins and themes with modern PHP and Gutenberg blocks in React
• Define back-end technical vision and strategy for large-scale projects, making critical architecture, performance, and scalability decisions
• Provide expert code reviews that champion code quality, security, and maintainability
• Solve complex performance and caching challenges to deliver fast, resilient platforms for millions of visitors
• Establish best practices and patterns that elevate the team's collective WordPress development output

Requirements

• Expert-level mastery of modern PHP and deep WordPress development experience
• Sophisticated understanding of the Gutenberg ecosystem and React
• Proven track record building elegant, scalable WordPress solutions
• Extensive Git workflow experience and ability to debug and optimize complex systems
• Strong technical communication skills with comfort leading client discussions
• Demonstrated success working proactively on a distributed, remote team
