Senior Wind Hub Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute contractual obligations regarding electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbine generators
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch and speed turbines
• Read and explain schematics, drawings, technical manuals, and regulations
• Perform diagnostic analysis and generate plans for timely resolution
• Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures
• Mentor peers and assist in all areas of site operations as directed
• Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety processes and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4+ years of wind troubleshooting experience plus 1+ year in EHS, SQC, or Lead role OR 5+ years of wind troubleshooting experience
• Ability to pass a Technical Knowledge Assessment
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time
• Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet daily and handle repetitive weight up to 50 lbs
• Ability to meet manufacturer weight limits not exceeding 300lbs including gear
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, on-call, and occasional overnights

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field
• Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field
• Experience with hydraulic power tools and heavy equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
