Senior/Staff Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, robust APIs in Golang that power main applications
• Enforce best practices in coding, testing, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in development and production environments
• Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for the backend ecosystem
• Take complete ownership of code end-to-end with a clear sense of urgency
• Leverage data-driven insights and analytics to refine system performance
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to shape innovative features

Requirements

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar programming languages
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering
• Strong understanding of database design and modeling (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Proven track record developing scalable systems and RESTful services
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes
• Understanding of automated testing and deployment processes
• Ability to travel to the NYC office a few times a year
