Job description
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create aesthetic and user-friendly online stores.
- Implement and maintain core Shopify features including product pages, collections, navigation menus, shopping cart functionality, and checkout customizations.
- Extend store functionality by integrating Shopify APIs (GraphQL) and third-party applications to automate processes and connect with external systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize store performance to ensure fast and seamless experiences across various devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate design concepts into functional, high-quality e-commerce code.
- Stay updated on Shopify best practices and emerging technologies to leverage the platform's full potential.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the Shopify platform, including Liquid templating language, theme development, and app integrations.
- Strong frontend development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a focus on responsive design principles.
- Experience working with Shopify APIs and GraphQL to interact with store data and develop custom functions.
- Proven problem-solving and debugging skills to maintain seamless store operations.
- Proficiency with Git version control and modern deployment workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Shopify Plus.
- Knowledge of headless commerce architectures.
- Familiarity with popular third-party Shopify applications.
