Site Reliability Engineer

As Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, we power most of the country’s point-of-sale (POS) transactions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotations to detect and triage service and reliability issues
• Act as Incident Commander during major incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams
• Create and maintain meaningful dashboards and alerts
• Develop automation to eliminate manual and repetitive operational tasks (toil)
• Implement and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
• Investigate and resolve complex customer complaints involving performance and reliability

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an SRE or similar role
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and software design patterns
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience with Grafana and APM tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Signoz
• Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ability to write complex queries
