About the Company

OXIO is the first NeoTelco, building the world’s largest, most accessible, and insightful Telecom network. Their Carrier-as-a-Service platform, BrandVNO, allows users to spin up their own carrier from a browser, providing customizable telecom services and data extraction capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement platform on the cloud to support OXIO backend services
  • Automate technical operations including deployments, scaling, and recovery
  • Monitor and maintain mission-critical production infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and culture of continuous improvement through blameless postmortems
  • Enable Engineering, Telecom, and Data Engineering teams by providing operational tools

Requirements

  • Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and internals (process management, filesystems, networking)
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Ruby and scripting in Bash or Perl
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
  • Knowledge of setting up alerts, analyzing logs, and creating observability dashboards
  • Familiarity with incident management practices and on-call rotations
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud-native architecture
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and firewalls

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of deployment strategies like canary or blue-green releases
  • Familiarity with high availability and failover mechanisms
  • Knowledge of IAM and zero trust principles
  • Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka, Cassandra, or Elasticsearch
  • Functional knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management
  • Familiarity with distributed tracing (Jaeger, OpenTelemetry) and ELK stack
  • Experience with performance profiling, load testing, and bottleneck identification
  • Familiarity with SaltStack for configuration management
