Site Reliability/GitOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Apply IaC experience to develop infrastructure as code practices and increase automation
• Automate software operations for consistency across private and public clouds
• Develop new features and improve resilience and scalability of cloud and container portfolios
• Maintain operational responsibility for core services, networks, and infrastructure
• Set up and maintain observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
• Collaborate with development teams to design service architecture, documentation, and playbooks
• Provide assistance to globally distributed engineering and operations peers
• Carry final responsibility for time-critical escalations

Requirements

• Deep experience in operations as code using version control, peer review, and CI/CD
• Strong modern engineering background including unit testing, SCM, and Agile
• Python software development experience with large projects
• Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls
• Affinity with Linux storage solutions like Ceph and Databases
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise Linux servers
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies
• Bachelor's degree or greater, preferably in Computer Science or related engineering
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
• Passion for open-source, especially Ubuntu or Debian
