Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a Performance Focus

Responsibilities

• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies including functional automation, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing
• Establish performance baselines and analyze metrics such as CPU, memory, throughput, and response time
• Identify system bottlenecks and root causes through profiling and diagnostics
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Partner with DevOps and Engineering teams to define realistic test environments and datasets
• Perform code reviews for test code and contribute to automation best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation and performance
• Hands-on experience with k6 for performance testing
• Hands-on experience with Playwright (Cypress or Selenium also considered)
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript
• Experience testing APIs using Postman or REST-assured
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Bitbucket or Jenkins
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of APM tools such as Grafana, New Relic, or Datadog
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
