Software Engineer - AI Experience

Pliant is a European fintech specializing in B2B payment solutions. Our modular, API-first platform helps businesses streamline spending, improve cash flow, and integrate payments into their financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered product experiences including chat experiences, copilots, and autonomous workflows.
• Build production-grade AI systems using LLMs, structured financial data, APIs, and retrieval systems like vector search and text-to-SQL.
• Implement observability, guardrails, and evaluation approaches to ensure AI reliability and accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience shipping AI-powered products or features into production.
• Strong software engineering skills in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python.
• Deep understanding of LLM interaction patterns such as RAG, tool calling, and agentic loops.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and scalable backend systems.
• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph.
• Background in fintech, accounting, spend management, or banking.
