Software Engineer - Backend

Realm builds AI for the mining industry, integrating with existing mine infrastructure to predict equipment failures, detect unsafe behaviors, and optimize operations. Our leadership team brings experience from Palantir, Uber, and high-growth fintechs.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend a TypeScript backend serving real-time mining operations data
• Work across the stack including backend services, applied AI/ML, React frontend, and infrastructure
• Build computer vision pipelines and integrate with industrial systems like SCADA/OPC-UA
• Deploy to production multiple times per day using CI/CD
• Work with LLMs for intelligent analysis and automation features

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong CS fundamentals and proficiency with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor)
• Ability to work across the stack and own features end-to-end
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident based in the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity
• Strong TypeScript proficiency
• Familiarity with computer vision or ML inference pipelines
