Vannevar is a defense technology company building AI to deter our adversaries. Our agentic AI is purpose-built to compete in high-stakes environments, modeling adversary behavior and recommending courses of action to decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Elevate and extend existing data collection capabilities and core engines
• Design resilient, statistically disciplined systems for adversarial environments
• Develop technical plans to maintain high-value data flow against defensive systems
• Build and maintain stable, scalable collection systems for 24x7 operations
• Ensure collected data is usable by agentic systems through tool-call readiness and proper schemas

Requirements

• Strong backend experience with distributed systems
• Expertise in TypeScript or Python
• Understanding of anti-abuse, bot detection, or traffic integrity systems
• Experience with web scraping and browser automation
• Ability to reason about protocol behavior, timing, and runtime characteristics
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder alignment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with national security workflows or data platforms
• Familiarity with agentic systems and retrieval patterns
• Full stack capability including React
• Active TS/SCI Clearance is a plus
