Job description

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers and stakeholders to develop software for scientific computing, data science, and machine learning
  • Develop, maintain, and own customer-facing GitHub repositories
  • Design, build, test, and deploy software solutions for simulation-based workloads
  • Create and improve reusable AI agents, automation workflows, and community assets
  • Utilize AI, LLMs, and agent-based technologies to enhance customer solutions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions
  • Follow software development best practices including version control and code reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 1–2+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • 1–2+ years of experience using GitHub and version control systems
  • 1–2+ years of experience with AI/LLM technologies, machine learning, and APIs
  • Experience applying software engineering to scientific or computational applications
  • Strong programming and problem-solving skills
  • Effective technical communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scientific computing or simulation-based applications
  • Exposure to machine learning workflows and model development
  • Familiarity with agentic AI systems and AI-driven automation
  • Experience building customer-facing open-source projects
  • GitHub portfolio showcasing relevant software development projects
  • Experience in customer-facing engineering roles
