Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build robust, scalable, leading-edge container images
• Work on automated CI/CD processes for building, testing and publishing container images
• Write tools and tests for assessing security compliance and cloud-native compatibility
• Participate in engineering processes through code and architectural review
• Contribute to Python- and Go-based container-building tools
• Provide technical feedback for team decision-making
• Engage with the open-source community as a subject-matter expert
• Mentor junior team members and assist with hiring

Requirements

• Experience with Python
• Experience building container images
• Proficiency with container management/orchestration tools like Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse CI)
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and workflows
• Experience with Linux systems administration and package management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
