Software Engineer II (React Native)

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-to-medium features in the React Native app from design through deployment
• Write production-quality, well-tested TypeScript code
• Participate in technical design discussions regarding architecture and state management
• Identify and fix bugs, technical debt, and performance issues
• Provide constructive feedback through code reviews
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to refine requirements
• Participate in an on-call rotation for production incidents
• Document work and share knowledge with the team

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Experience building React or React Native applications
• Understanding of component-based architecture and state management
• Experience with CSS/styled-components and responsive mobile layouts
• Familiarity with Jest and E2E testing frameworks like Maestro
• Experience with Git-based workflows and code reviews
• Understanding of RESTful API consumption
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools
• Prior experience in a remote engineering team
• Experience building reactive UIs for high-frequency data (WebSockets, live data)
• Skill in using animations and haptics to enhance user experience
• Understanding of "second screen" mobile layouts
