Software Engineer III - Mobile

Stone is a technology and financial services company focused on the customer. We are the largest independent payment methods company in Brazil, aiming to transform the payment industry and serve Brazilian entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

• Act on problems with open or poorly defined scopes
• Maintain autonomy in daily decision-making regarding solution details
• Collaborate with Android, iOS, and React Native teams to integrate KMP modules into native platforms
• Build interfaces using Compose Multiplatform, understanding the limits between shared UI and platform specificities
• Contribute to architecture decisions, development patterns, and tool improvements within the mobile team
• Participate in code reviews and support the technical growth of junior engineers

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in mobile software development (Android or iOS)
• Mastery of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM)
• Practical experience with data structures (lists, mappers, hashmaps)
• Experience writing testable code (unit and integration tests)
• Experience with system integration (REST APIs, networking, and local data persistence)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or Compose Multiplatform (CMP) in production
• Proficiency in Kotlin (Coroutines, Flow, structured concurrency) or strong Swift/Objective-C experience with a desire to transition to Kotlin
• Experience integrating native/KMP modules into React Native applications
• Knowledge of Server-Driven UI architecture
• Familiarity with Dual-Track Agile, XP (Extreme Programming), and scaled frameworks (SAFe)
