Job description

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship first-party risk management features including risk register, inherent and residual risk scoring, and risk lifecycle workflows
  • Develop and extend control testing and monitoring capabilities such as automated evidence checks and test cadence scheduling
  • Build integrations with compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate compliance requirements into intuitive product experiences
  • Write performant backend services and APIs in C# (.NET), Node.js, or Python
  • Build and maintain React/TypeScript front-end components for complex risk data dashboards
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure engineering quality

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of software engineering experience in a product-focused company
  • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript
  • Experience with Java Springboot, Node.js, or Python for backend API development
  • Ability to work across the full stack from data models to UI
  • Familiarity with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and asynchronous patterns
  • Proven track record of writing well-tested code
  • Excellent communication skills for async and cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to GRC, compliance, audit, or risk management domains
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or FedRAMP
  • Experience building workflow-heavy or state-machine-driven features
  • Prior experience in a B2B SaaS environment
