Software Engineer, Traffic

Responsibilities

• Own edge networking configuration including routing, WAF policy, rate limiting, and certificate management
• Evolve the ingress layer to ensure inbound traffic is reliable, observable, and self-service
• Manage DNS across internal clusters and external zones
• Build network-layer observability for latency, error rates, and routing visibility
• Support regional expansion by extending networking into new geographies
• Help define team practices, technical standards, and SDLC processes

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping production services in Go, TypeScript, or similar
• Experience diagnosing production issues at the network layer
• Practical experience with Kubernetes networking (ingress controllers, DNS, network policies)
• Experience managing infrastructure as code
• Experience building internal platforms or tools that drive engineering adoption

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cloudflare (Workers, WAF, Access, or Tunnel)
• Experience with Istio or service mesh in multi-cluster environments
• Experience with GKE or managed Kubernetes at scale
• Knowledge of Ruby or Rails
