Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple global engineering teams across time zones
  • Hire, mentor, and develop engineering managers and staff engineers
  • Set engineering direction and pace for open source software products
  • Drive testing, benchmarking, and quality improvements
  • Represent products to stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes and measure team health
  • Collaborate with leadership and dependent product teams

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record in high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM
  • Extensive engineering management experience
  • Outstanding Linux based software engineering background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Public speaking and presentation ability
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring software developers
  • Advanced expertise in your technical domain
  • Solid agile development experience
  • Ability to travel twice per year for up to two weeks each

Preferred Qualifications

  • Developer advocacy or community engagement experience
  • Open source community leadership
  • Operations and system administration background
  • Performance engineering and security experience
