Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead a hands-on Fraud Engineering team responsible for building and scaling a customer-facing fraud product used by large insurers.
  • Own development of detection logic, decisioning workflows, rules and signals, APIs, and administrative tools for configuration, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Define technical direction and architecture for the fraud product, balancing configurability, performance, accuracy, explainability, and long-term scalability.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Client Engagement to translate customer pain points and real-world fraud scenarios into robust, usable product capabilities.
  • Review code, unblock complex problems, and contribute technically when needed to accelerate delivery and clarity.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow engineers across levels; set engineering standards, development processes, and hiring priorities as the product scales.
  • Ensure the product remains flexible and extensible as fraud patterns and customer needs evolve; own operational reliability and observability for fraud systems.

  • PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
  • AWS cloud services experience
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines and signal engineering

This role will be based in the UAE (Dubai) with a hybrid working model and will partner closely with global product and engineering teams.
