Software Engineering Manager I

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams (Backend, Mobile/Web)
• Conduct 1-on-1s, development plans (PDI), performance reviews, and talent retention
• Translate strategic company plans into technical direction for the team
• Ensure end-to-end delivery of solutions from app experience to backend robustness
• Partner with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other leaders
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business areas
• Promote a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and constant feedback

Requirements

• Previous experience in technology team leadership or management
• Technical background in software development with ability to guide architecture discussions
• Knowledge of Mobile (Kotlin/Android/iOS), Web (React/Next.js), and Backend (.NET, APIs, Microservices, Event-Sourcing, Event-Driven)
• Experience with scalable, integrated, and high-availability systems
• Strong communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence for conflict management and career development
