Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed technical design documents including component diagrams, data flows, API contracts, and deployment topology
• Design protocol bridge configurations for BMS integrations (OPC-UA endpoint discovery, BACnet device enumeration, MQTT topic structure)
• Design and maintain the tag mapping pipeline with auto-mapping rules and cross-site tag dictionaries
• Define CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments across multiple sites
• Design monitoring and observability stacks with defined SLOs and platform health alerts
• Conduct code reviews for all platform changes including APIs, model serving, and data ingestion
• Define and enforce coding standards, testing requirements, and documentation for delivery teams
• Own integration test strategy from BMS ingestion through alert generation to CMMS work order creation
• Review and approve MLflow model deployment configurations and A/B testing setups
• Troubleshoot production issues escalated by Data Engineers and Platform Developers
• Run daily standups with offshore teams and provide weekly technical status updates
• Coordinate with on-site Data Scientists on site-specific findings and equipment anomalies
• Maintain technical risk logs and escalate blockers requiring leadership or customer involvement

Requirements

• 8+ years in backend systems, distributed architectures, or industrial data platforms
• Strong Python development experience with FastAPI or Flask frameworks
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, MQTT, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with MLflow, model serving patterns, and ML pipeline design
• Understanding of BMS protocols (OPC-UA, BACnet) with ability to debug integration issues
• Experience leading delivery teams of 4–6 engineers across time zones
