Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Own and facilitate the Architectural Advice Forum (AAF), driving decentralized decision-making through ADRs.
• Build production-grade Proofs of Concept to de-risk new patterns and validate architectural ideas.
• Partner with the CTO on AI strategy, identifying opportunities and prototyping solutions.
• Drive cross-cutting standardization across backend, web, and mobile engineering.
• Embed Security-First Architecture, setting threat-modeling and secure-by-default patterns.
• Champion Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event-Driven Architecture as core foundations.
• Collaborate with SRE teams on reliability, observability, and platform evolution.
• Coach and mentor engineers across various teams to raise the organizational architectural bar.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in an Architect, Staff, or equivalent senior-IC role.
• Proven track record as a hands-on engineer who continues to write and review production code.
• Deep experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems at scale.
• Hands-on expertise with Domain-Driven Design (strategic and tactical patterns).
• Experience designing security-first architectures, including threat modeling and defense-in-depth.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and containerization.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, automated testing, and modern SDLC practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in crypto, Web3, custody, or blockchain-based systems.
• Familiarity with Team Topologies and organizational design.
• Background in SRE or platform engineering (SLOs, error budgets, developer experience).
• Proficiency with Python.
