Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Design scalable solutions for a modern federal health data platform spanning cloud, on-premises, and government-hosted environments
• Translate mission, business, data, security, and operational requirements into clear technical designs
• Contribute to current and target state architectures for the modernization of legacy federal health systems
• Design approaches for integrating data across DoW and federal health systems using APIs, pipelines, and reusable data products
• Evaluate technical options regarding security, scalability, performance, reliability, and cost
• Support the use of Databricks and cloud services across AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, and hybrid infrastructure
• Develop architecture diagrams, interface definitions, design documentation, and technical roadmaps

Requirements

• 3 to 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data architecture, or software/data engineering
• Experience with enterprise data platforms or complex distributed systems involving data ingestion and transformation
• Experience working in cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
• Experience integrating data across modern and legacy systems using APIs
• Working knowledge of data modeling, metadata, lineage, and governance principles
• Ability to create architecture diagrams and technical documentation
• U.S. Citizenship required with an active DoD Secret clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark
• Proficiency with AWS and familiarity with Azure or Oracle Cloud
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or Advana environments
• Background in healthcare or military health regulated environments
• Experience applying AI/ML components like RAG or agentic patterns within a solution
