Sr QA Consultant

Responsibilities

• Validate Java-based microservices architecture and backend workflows from a Dubai-based environment
• Design, develop and maintain automated backend test suites using Python and Playwright
• Create and execute end-to-end tests for file ingestion and data processing pipelines
• Perform API, integration and regression testing for backend services
• Validate workflow execution, orchestration and state management across systems
• Identify, log and track defects and work with developers and DevOps for timely resolution
• Contribute to test strategy, test planning and continuous improvement of QA processes
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers and operations to ensure high-quality releases

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in QA automation and backend testing
• Strong understanding of microservices (Java backend)
• Hands-on experience with Python for test automation
• Experience using Playwright for automation testing
• Proven API testing and data validation skills
• Experience with file ingestion and data processing pipelines
• Familiarity with workflow execution/management tools
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Exposure to performance testing and security testing
• Experience with test orchestration tools and automation frameworks
