Sr. Staff Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex and high-visibility EV charging construction projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
• Develop advanced project execution strategies for challenging site conditions and complex utility interconnections
• Drive proactive cost and schedule management and lead cross-functional corrective actions
• Conduct regular site visits and quality audits to set construction quality standards
• Ensure compliance with public funding documentation requirements for NEVI, DOE, and state grants
• Lead high-stakes contractor negotiations, dispute resolution, and performance management
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with utilities, AHJs, and property owners
• Serve as a senior mentor and technical resource for mid-level project managers
• Lead development of construction project management standards, templates, and playbooks

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 7+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, specifically leading complex, high-value, multi-site projects
• Deep expertise in EPC contracting, change order management, and contractor performance management
• Advanced knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA), AHJ permitting, and utility interconnection processes
• Proficiency in construction management tools such as Procore, Smartsheet, Primavera, or MS Project
• Ability to travel regularly to project sites nationally (estimated 30–50% travel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with EV charging, distributed energy, or electrical infrastructure construction
• Experience with Salesforce and Sitetracker
• PMP certification or equivalent
