Sr. Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction across multiple domains and shape architecture decisions
• Own complex, ambiguous technical work including greenfield service design and large refactors
• Anticipate systemic risks, scalability ceilings, and security posture issues
• Lead the design and adoption of agentic engineering workflows and AI-enabled development tools
• Directly manage two mid-level engineers, owning their growth and performance
• Act as a senior technical authority for security and compliance (SOC2, vulnerability management)
• Conduct high-impact code reviews and mentor engineers across the organization

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years as a Staff Engineer or equivalent senior IC role
• Proven track record of driving multi-team technical initiatives and architectural direction
• Deep familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Practical experience with security and compliance in a SaaS environment (SOC2)
• Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled development tools and agentic engineering
• Experience building or contributing to agentic workflows, MCP servers, or AI-assisted pipelines
• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

• Experience architecting AI features in production (LLM orchestration, observability, cost management)
