Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting
• Own assigned general ledger accounts from transaction processing through reconciliation
• Support monthly close activities including journal entries, accruals, and fixed assets
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including cash, prepaids, and accrued expenses
• Review coding accuracy and support vendor payment workflows
• Prepare schedules for monthly financial statements and provide variance explanations
• Maintain SOPs and process documentation
• Act as backup for semi-monthly payroll processing and manage 401k plan support

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of accounting experience
• Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially Excel (pivot tables and vlookups)
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of ethics and detail orientation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience with Concur
