Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting for three entities with a focus on month-end close, intercompany billing, and reconciliations
• Prepare accruals, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and maintain SOX-compliant documentation
• Manage lease accounting (ASC 842) including right-of-use asset and liability amortization
• Handle revenue accounting (ASC 606) and reconcile deferred revenue balances
• Issue intercompany invoices and reconcile balances for accurate consolidation
• Review and code credit card expenses and coordinate with the India AP team
• Manage A/R collections, including monitoring aging, contacting customers, and resolving disputes
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate with internal and external auditors
• Utilize AI and automation tools to streamline journal entries and reporting

Requirements

• 1–3 years of accounting experience across GL, A/R, A/P, and month-end close
• Familiarity with SOX controls
• Proficiency with Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP), Excel, and basic BI/reporting tools
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, Power Query, or Power Automate
• Strong communication and follow-up skills for customer-facing collections
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and propose process improvements
