Staff Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design services, data models, pipelines, and evaluation loops
• Build reliable systems around fragmented, high-value data
• Develop an intelligence layer to enable better, faster, and more explainable decisions
• Take full ownership of business-critical infrastructure

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2)
• Experience with asynchronous workflows and cloud environments
• Proficiency with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs and generative AI
• Experience with distributed systems
