Staff Cloud Networking Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own cloud networking across the engineering organization
• Architect, build, and operate the network foundation for platform and product teams
• Set technical direction and long-term strategy for cloud networking and multi-cloud connectivity
• Design and deploy IPv6-native VPC architecture and EKS networking
• Establish networking standards and raise competency across the engineering organization

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on AWS networking expertise in production at scale
• Strong vendor-agnostic networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, routing, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, NAT)
• Demonstrated experience deploying and troubleshooting IPv6 in cloud or large network environments
• Experience with core cloud networking primitives (VPCs, transit/peering, IPAM, private connectivity)
• Kubernetes networking experience, specifically with EKS and CNI behavior
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent) and GitOps workflows
• Experience with private DNS in Route 53

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud connectivity tooling
• Experience with multi-account/multi-project environments (AWS Organizations, Control Tower)
• Network security and compliance experience
• AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty certification
