Staff Cloud Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate fault-tolerant production systems on AWS using ECS, ECR, and EC2
• Architect and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices
• Administer Google Workspace environments, including user provisioning and security configurations
• Own IAM strategy and user access management across AWS accounts
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Enforce and improve IT security practices across networking, data, and service access controls
• Manage virtualization, PaaS, and SaaS environments within AWS for cost efficiency and performance
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance
• Write automation and tooling in Python and Bash to improve developer productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience building infrastructure and tooling for large-scale cloud operations
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, ECR, EC2) and AWS IAM
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
• Proven experience with Google Workspace administration
• Significant experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Demonstrated IT security experience in user account and network security
• Experience with big data technologies such as DynamoDB
• Strong programming skills in Python and Bash

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Lambda, Batch, SageMaker, and VPC design
• Experience with Autonomy or Robotics infrastructure and ROS/ROS2
• Proficiency in C++ development
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and observability tools
