Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the effort to make Ubuntu suitable for highly regulated environments such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial robotics
  • Transform complex regulatory and compliance demands into engineering excellence values and practices
  • Define and implement continuous improvement processes and qualification requirements for engineering quality standards
  • Establish methods for measuring quality and use them to shape engineering culture
  • Build strategic relations with external working groups, committees, and partners
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to deliver the vision for industrial standards

Requirements

  • Strong experience in engineering and process management in an agile environment
  • Knowledge or certification in standards like ISO/IEC 25010 or ASPICE
  • Proven track record of developing and growing people and teams
  • Experience leading successful compliance and certification efforts
  • Experience with Linux

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background as a software developer
  • Experience establishing product engineering development metrics and KPIs
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
