Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan, and lead large-scale technical initiatives aligned with business priorities
• Design, build, and optimize scalable systems across the stack using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Deliver production-grade features end-to-end while maintaining performance and security
• Improve codebases, architecture, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Debug and resolve complex issues across systems and services
• Partner cross-functionally with Product and Design teams
• Act as a technical mentor to junior and mid-level engineers
• Experiment with new technologies, including AI/ML applications

Requirements

• 8–15 years of professional software development experience
• Strong frontend expertise in React and TypeScript
• Backend proficiency in Node.js (Kotlin is a plus)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, DynamoDB)
• Deep experience with API integration and third-party API management
• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure
• Proven ability in system design, architecture, and performance optimization
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and YAML
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with social networking platforms
• Knowledge of accessibility standards
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools like Copilot or Cursor
• Experience with monitoring solutions such as DataDog
• Background in rapid, iterative development environments
