Staff Engineer Rust: DeFi

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, setup and deployment of trading algorithms, including signing off on technical approaches for use cases.
• Assist product managers in planning and implementing technical solutions, making trade-offs and decisions with a broader roadmap in mind within engineering guidelines.
• Mentor other engineering team members and actively participate in code reviews.
• Review performance metrics and data analysis to identify weaknesses and optimize activities.
• Ensure technical processes are well documented.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years backend coding experience (C++, Rust, Go, or Java).
• Essential hands-on experience with Rust.
• Interest or familiarity with trading.
• Familiarity with financial markets and trading algorithms (especially order books).
• Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in DeFi, Web3 and/or DAO.
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Experience working with non-EVM blockchains.
• Preference for candidates based in the European time zones to match wider team distribution.
