Staff Front End Engineer

Medely is a high-growth series-C technology start-up reimagining the future of healthcare work by providing an on-demand marketplace and workforce management tools. We are a fully remote team dedicated to redefining the way healthcare workers and facilities work together to provide for patients.

Responsibilities

• Act as the front end technical lead for cross-functional, agile teams building high-impact web applications
• Drive architecture decisions and code standards to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend partners to translate ideas into delightful, accessible, and performant interfaces
• Lead by example by writing high-quality, testable code and performing thoughtful code reviews
• Champion modern front end technologies, developer tools, and patterns
• Mentor and elevate other engineers through knowledge sharing and collaboration

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional front end development experience
• 3+ years of deep expertise in React (including state management, animations, and Webpack)
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks
• Proven experience leading or architecting complex, interactive applications end-to-end
• Passion for design systems, performance optimization, and exceptional user experiences
• Track record of mentoring engineers and improving team culture
• BS/BA in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• React Native experience
• Experience owning complex, high-traffic web applications
• Expertise in accessibility, animation timing, and responsiveness
