Staff Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship subsystems across the full stack using React/Remix, Node.js, and Python AI services
• Build AI-native interfaces, including dynamic components and real-time collaboration features
• Design and implement core application builders for no-code AI app creation
• Develop systems for autonomous AI agents and voice/mobile-first interfaces
• Create integrations with Google Workspace, Canvas LMS, and other educational platforms
• Ship small experiments quickly and productionize valuable features
• Mentor engineers on fullstack development, design patterns, and architecture
• Work cross-functionally with designers, ML engineers, and customers

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production web applications across frontend and backend
• Strong experience with modern React frameworks (specifically Remix) and TypeScript
• Strong experience building backend services with Node and TypeScript
• Strong experience with databases, APIs, and external service integrations
• Ability to translate designs into working features effectively
• Experience working cross-functionally and directly with customers
• Ability to thrive in high-agency, high-collaboration, remote-first environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing or building AI-powered interfaces
• Background in real-time collaborative features such as WebSockets or CRDTs
• Experience with educational technology or mission-driven organizations
• Knowledge of accessibility and internationalization best practices
• Experience integrating with LMS platforms or educational systems
