Staff Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and best practices for the platform and infrastructure layer
• Own the deploy pipeline and lead the move to a GitOps model using Argo
• Design and harden multi-tenant isolation and blast-radius protection
• Lead database stabilization, performance, availability, and safe migrations
• Build infrastructure foundations for compliance-heavy and government deployments
• Set standards for observability, on-call, and operational readiness
• Collaborate with leadership to translate platform capabilities into customer offerings

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and scaling high-performance production systems
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
• Strong database proficiency with Postgres at scale
• Proficiency in at least one application language (JVM preferred)
• Strong security mindset regarding IaC, secrets management, and least privilege
• Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• FedRAMP, FISMA, or other government compliance deployment experience
• Previous experience at a hyper-growth startup
