Staff Security Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and own security log pipelines including collection, transformation, and enrichment
• Operate and improve SIEM by onboarding sources and tuning detections
• Deploy and tune security controls across macOS, Windows, and AWS WorkSpaces
• Build internal automation and tooling primarily using Python
• Instrument environments for security signals via API integrations
• Establish secure defaults in Infrastructure as Code using reusable modules
• Integrate security scanning and policy-as-code into CI/CD workflows
• Own the reliability and coverage of security pipelines and tooling

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on security engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python for custom tooling and log pipelines
• Experience building end-to-end log pipelines and operating SIEMs
• Experience managing endpoint security for macOS and Windows
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines
• Working knowledge of AWS or other major cloud providers
• Ability to operate independently and drive projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Cloud Security or Application Security
• Experience with Wiz, Cloudflare, GitHub Advanced Security, or Spacelift
• Policy as code experience (OPA/Rego or Sentinel)
• AI/ML security exposure (prompt injection, model abuse)
• Experience in PCI-regulated or financial services environments
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails or Go
