Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the end-to-end reliability, performance, and resilience of cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes)
• Design the SLO framework and lead technical decision-making for critical services
• Lead the incident response program, including on-call rotation and root cause analysis
• Architect monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms
• Transform ambiguous requirements into automated infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• Drive cloud cost-efficiency and performance optimization
• Mentor engineers and establish deployment and observability standards
• Ensure infrastructure meets security and HIPAA compliance obligations

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering at scale
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes and Terraform in AWS environments
• Experience designing reliability practices (SLO frameworks, incident response)
• Strong Python or Go skills for infrastructure automation
• Proven track record in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
• Experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude) applied to engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI/ML or data-intensive workloads in production
• Experience operating in regulated environments like HIPAA or SOC 2
