Staff Software Engineer

NextPatient provides modern software solutions for doctor's offices, including online scheduling, paperless check-in, and automated waitlists. We are a self-funded team of 40 people focused on improving the patient experience without the pressure of venture capital.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of meaningful product slices as a high-performing individual contributor
• Build best-in-category features as a full-stack builder
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and co-founders
• Partner with account managers and sales teams to ensure feature success
• Participate in occasional client calls to gather direct feedback

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of making significant contributions to past products
• Start-up friendly temperament with comfort in ambiguity and rapid change
• Full-stack development capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Postgres
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Interest or experience in AI applications
