Staff Software Engineer, Quality Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the quality engineering strategy and operating model across all product lines
• Harden the AI-native pipeline where agents generate, maintain, and execute test coverage
• Manage the release-gate discipline, ensuring evidence-backed sign-offs and strict exit criteria
• Build evaluation mechanisms to calibrate agent-driven quality against human verdicts
• Mentor engineers and QA teammates through code reviews and technical design discussions

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles
• Experience designing agentic or AI-assisted quality workflows (LLM evaluation, agent-generated coverage)
• Strong software engineering skills in Java and TypeScript
• Proven experience with evidence-based release governance and distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or transforming a Quality Engineering organization in a high-growth SaaS company
• Knowledge of automation technologies like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
• Experience with spec-driven or artifact-first development practices
