Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, executive leadership, design, sales, and marketing to build simple, effective solutions
• Champion AI development practices and mentor the engineering organization on using AI to increase velocity and code quality
• Build and run robust, secure systems that operate at scale
• Work with leadership to establish unified technical direction and a culture of excellence
• Review PRs and design future system architecture, including transitioning legacy monoliths to a modern stack

Requirements

• Mastery of large-scale services using Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and relational databases (MySQL/Postgres)
• Experience with AWS infrastructure (Aurora, RDS, SQS)
• AI-native workflow using tools like Cursor or Claude Code as primary development partners
• Ability to represent engineering in high-stakes discussions with non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
