About the Company
Cursor is an AI code editor used by software engineers across the defense industrial base and the national security community. Our mission is to automate coding by building the best tools for professional programmers through inventive research, design, and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow relationships with prime contractors and integrators focused on COCOM and SOF programs (e.g., Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos, CACI).
- Negotiate and close partnership agreements, reseller arrangements, and teaming agreements.
- Work with prime BD and program management teams to co-sell Cursor into new contract awards.
- Build relationships inside USSOCOM, JSOC, AFSOC, MARSOC, and geographic COCOMs at the J6, J2, and innovation lead levels.
- Represent Cursor at major industry events like SOF Week, SOFIC, and AUSA.
- Own a revenue target for the COCOM and SOF channel business and manage the pipeline.
- Partner with Field Engineering on technical evaluations and air-gapped/classified network considerations.
- Feed mission-critical product requirements from the SOF community back to the product roadmap team.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance (required)
- 5+ years of channel sales, BD, or partnership management experience within the defense industrial base
- Direct exposure to COCOM or SOF-aligned programs
- Existing relationships at prime contractors or technology companies active in the COCOM/SOF market
- Understanding of SOCOM acquisition environments (MFP-11, SOF AT&L, SOFWERX, OTA mechanisms)
- Proven track record of driving material software or technology revenue ($500K+) in the SOF ecosystem
- Ability to navigate both prime-facing channel layers and end-user pull-through layers
Preferred Qualifications
- Polygraph on file
- Prior active duty or civilian service in a SOF unit, JSOC, SOCOM, or geographic COCOM in a technology capacity
- Experience selling developer tools, AI/ML platforms, or SDLC tooling to SOF-focused primes
- Existing relationships within USSOCOM, JSOC, AFSOC, or geographic COCOM J6/innovation offices
- Familiarity with SOCOM technical communities like SOFWERX and NavalX
