Strategic Product Manager (Software Development)

About the position

We are looking for a Strategic Product Manager as part of our software development team. The Strategic Product Manager will be responsible for defining the strategic vision for the product(s) and managing the product development process. Other responsibilities include developing user stories, supporting the development team, managing backlog items, and optimising the value of the product(s). You should also be able to lead the product development team toward achieving the organisation's vision and mission.

You will need to be Arabic speaking and based in Dubai (where the client is based).As the Strategic Product Manager, you should have the ability to analyse data to refine the vision and ultimately prioritise features to be developed by the development team. Ultimately the Strategic Product Manager will be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities

• Define strategic vision and align this to KPIs
• Provide vision and direction to the Agile development teams and other stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements .
• Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
• Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
• Create and maintain a product backlog according to business value.
• Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
• Keeping stakeholders informed of the status of the product.
• Identifying areas of improvement.
• Developing user stories.

Key qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Experience as an IT Producti Owner/Manager
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
